Warning: The government has issued a high-level warning for Google Chrome users – do this immediately
If you are using Google Chrome on your laptop or computer, there is a big caveat for you. Computer Response Team of India (CERT-IN) has banned the use of Google Chrome version 119.0.6045.123 and earlier versions. This alert from CERT-In is for Windows, MacBook and Linux users.
CERT-In’s warning says that this version of Google Chrome contains a bug that could allow hackers to remotely control your browser and steal your personal information. Based on this information, you may suffer emotionally and financially as well.
By exploiting this bug, hackers can get complete information about users’ systems. Apart from this you can get their location, browser history, passwords saved in the browser and banking details (if saved).
This bug allows hackers to redirect users to fake websites through Chrome. There is only one way to avoid this bug and that is to update your Chrome browser immediately.
